Accessibility for the Olympic Walks
The Olympic Walk and The Extended Olympic Walk are accessible to wheelchair users with assistance. If you are coming alone you need to have a good level of wheelchair skills as there are kerbs, cobblestones, undulating paths and gradients to negotiate.
There are wheelchair accessible toilets at both the start and the finish of The Olympic Walk
and The Extended Olympic Walk.
Please note that Bromley-by-Bow and Leyton underground stations are not wheelchair accessible. For The Olympic walk there is a wheelchair accessible underpass between Bromley-by-Bow tube station and the Tesco store across the A12.
Buses 108 and 488 stop at both Bromley-by-Bow underground station and Tesco for The Olympic Walk.
At the end of The Olympic Walk you will have transport options from both Stratford International (accessible) and Stratford Regional Station (accessible).
The Extended Olympic Walk. Leyton station is not accessible to wheelchair users. The walk follows footpaths and towpaths. Some sections are quite bumpy. Please check when booking as we sometimes have to changes routes depending on transformation works. The Extended Olympic Walk ends near to Pudding Mill Lane DLR station which is accessible.
Please note that regrettably the Walk for Gold can have some underground interchanges that are not suitable for wheelchair users.
