Richmond Upon Thames, celebrated the 2012 Games. We had the Olympic Road Cycling events on our doorstep, the Olympic Torch passed through the borough, and St. Mary's University College was the pre-training camp for the South African, Irish and Chinese teams.

Teddington Walk
Just about 40 minutes by train from Waterloo and you are in the wide open spaces of Bushy Park with its deer, Teddington High Street with its shops and pubs, and delightful riverside walks by the Thames.
Teddington has a great sporting heritage with swimming, canoeing, Dragon Boating, horseriding, road cycling being just some of the sports.

Twickenham Riverside Walk
Just a short train ride from London Waterloo, and you emerge into a different world. Local shops, riverside pubs and villas and lots of sporting conncections. This walk takes you along a delightful stretch of the River Thames.
