about 2 hours.

Does the walk go inside the Olympic Park?
No. We go as close to the perimeter as we are permitted. There is no general public access to the Olympic Park during the transformation work but you will get good views of many of the venues.

Any enquiries about visiting inside the Olympic Park should be directed to the
London Legacy Development Corporation.

Do The Olympic Walks return to Bromley-by-Bow station?
No, at present the Walks finish at Stratford Westfield Centre where there are plenty of transport options (Overground, Underground, DLR and bus routes) from Stratford Regional and Stratford International Stations (zone 3). Sometimes we may have to change the route due to works beyond our control, or due to new routes opening up, however our walks will always finish near to public transport options which your guide will explain.

How fast is the pace?
The walk goes at a gentle pace with frequent stops, suitable for any reasonably fit person.

Is the walk suitable for children?
Absolutely. It is hoped that the Games in London will inspire a generation to participate in sport.
We have had very positive feedback from families. The walk is fine for parents with buggies.

Are there any toilets and refreshments on the walk?
Yes – at the beginning and the end, the guide will direct you to them.

What should I wear?
There can be a little mud from time to time but most of the walk is on pavements or proper footpaths.
However you should wear comfortable walking shoes.

What happens if it rains?
The walk goes ahead whatever the weather, so please bring along an umbrella, raincoat, water-proofs etc.

What happens if Bromley-by-Bow station is closed?
It is your responsibility to check for engineering works on the Underground. When Bromley-by-Bow station is closed you can use the rail replacement service or walk from nearby Devons Road Docklands Light Railway Station. Please check www.tfl.gov.uk as you may need to allow extra time for your journey.

What happens if I am late for the tour?
If the walk has already left you can catch up by crossing the road using the underpass and heading for Tesco where you turn right and walk towards Three Mills.

What do we see on the walk?
Handsome Georgian and Victorian industrial buildings. Then an overview of the Olympic Park with venues such as the Aquatics Centre, Copper Box, Olympic & Paralympic Village, ArcelorMittal Orbit and the Olympic Stadium.

May we bring dogs?
Dogs are most welcome on the walk, provided they are on a lead and kept under control.

What happens if I wish to book a large group?
It might well be worth hiring your own guide for a group or a family party at a time to suit you.

Is this a coach tour?
No, it’s a walking tour. We are always happy to quote on a private coach tour for a group, for either a half or full day.
